We did not need Neuroscientists to confirm what many of us have already known or FELT - that music can uplift us, or, unfortunately, even do the opposite.
Today music is regularly used as therapy for patients with various neural disorders, such as Parkinson's disease.
Some of you may have seen or heard of the remarkable effects of music on some sufferers of the disease.
In one case, a patient who used to play the piano was now immobile and expressionless. However, when the doctor seated her at a piano and asked her to play a particular piece of music, the transformation was almost miraculous. Her hands began to move swiftly over the piano keys and her face softened with feeling and expression.
Her playing was also accomplished, just as it was before she contracted Parkinson’s.
Music has been used as part of our Whole Mind Success methods for over two decades - well before functional MRIs and other brain-imaging methods verified the efficacy of these techniques.
We at WMS have known for years, from direct experience, about the benefits of our methods - confirmed by the positive feedback we receive every year from our workshop participants.
