As we asked a few weeks ago:
*What does happen to those young, developing brain circuits – those neuronal links that are changing and growing daily?*
The answer is that they are being continually influenced by their environment.
Parents, teachers, friends and society are constantly programming these creative young minds into blocks of convenient conformity.
Studies show that the greatest development in a child’s brain occurs during the first four years of life, after which growth continues until the major developmental spurt during their teenage years.
Brain development after this period of peak growth is more measured.
