Keck Laboratory for Functional Brain Imaging and Behavior used EEG to compare the brain activity of subjects practicing one of the techniques which is also taught in Whole Mind Success seminars.

They found that the practitioners showed high amplitude gamma waves - generally associated with attention, conscious Harvey and Karel Svoboda at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Maryland, found that when they stimulated a single dendritic spine in a brain cell, it made its neighbors more sensitive to chemical signals.
This meant that these neighbors were ready to use any spillover of information from the stimulated cell.

The combined effect, called clustered plasticity, multiplies the capacity of any single brain cell, and might help account for the tremendous capacity of the brain.

“The traditional view was that each synapse functioned independently, and the strength of individual connections modulated memory storage,” said Mr. Harvey, a graduate student at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on Long Island. “What we’ve shown is that neighboring synapses may function together, which leads to the idea that information is stored in a clustered manner, with related things concentrated in the same neighborhood.”
Whole Mind Success - Productivity, Creativity, and Stress Management Seminars

Creativity through Internal Change

Today many competitive businesses are looking for innovative strategies not only within the company, but are also thinking of more creative products and the means of advertising those products.

Since access to knowledge is now readily available to everyone, creativity has become an essential requirement for a successful business.

Most creativity programs work on the external environment in a company. - by Researchers in Illinois and Singapore

The aging brain reflects cultural differences in the way that it processes visual information. This study published in the May 2007 issue of the journal Cognitive, Affective & Behavioral Neuroscience. This paper and another published by the same group in 2006 are the first to demonstrate that culture can alter the brain’s perceptive mechanisms.

“These are the first studies to show that culture is sculpting the brain,” said University of Illinois's Denise Park, principal investigator on the study. “The effect is seen not so much in structural changes, but at the level of perception.”

The Americans showed more activity in brain regions associated with object processing than the East Asians, whose brains showed more activity in areas involved in processing background information.
Whole Mind Success - Productivity, Creativity, and Stress Management Seminars

Creativity, Innovation, Productivity – how Young do you Have to Be?

How Young do you Have to Be, to be Creative, Innovative & Productive?

Can an old person be just as Creative as someone in their 20s?

Can an old person be Innovative?

Can an old person be Productive?

What do YOU think?

Let us know.

Ken & David
Seminar Consultants
info@wholemindsuccess.com
Whole Mind Success - Productivity, Creativity, and Stress Management Seminars

What is Aging? was both an intellectual and a culinary feast.

The first week was a heavily scheduled Creativity Seminar at the 20th annual conference of the American Creativity Association (ACA).

We heard from world renowned authorities on neuroscience, creativity, and on the other major corporate buzzword today, innovation.

The conference was in a lovely 5-star hotel on the waterfront, where I presented a paper on Whole Mind Success - which was well received.
Several professors and some Creativity instructors were keen to work with us, as our methods complemented theirs by working from the INSIDE.

The second week was busy with Whole Mind Success workshops at local firms - including an insurance company.

We have all heard about the external ways to help creativity blossom in a corporate setting.

Many of us are familiar with the various ways an organization can create the appropriate environment to allow its creative people to actually be creative.

Whether it is coming up with new ideas and designs, or making the latest widget, those people in your organization who are already regarded as creative will be able to manifest their creativity in a nurturing environment.

What Whole Mind Success does is rather different – we are training corporate employees how to access the source of creativity – we are going into their Minds.

Our seminars teach individuals how to use their Whole Mind to awaken and enhance their creativity and their innovative powers. Whole Mind methods are practical, proven techniques using research from neurology and psychology which have been shown to enhance an individual’s creativity.
Whole Mind Success - Productivity, Creativity, and Stress Management Seminars
