Memory and Music

Happy Holidays !
Musical memory is one of the strongest forms of conditioning we can have.
Most of us know how tunes we heard as young children still play away in our heads at the oddest of times.
Even today there are still times when I hear songs – especially hymns from my childhood days playing in my head. I may even suddenly burst out with a hymn that relates to something that was said – much to the chagrin of those around me. Of course many of us also know that just about any word in our language today has been used in some song or the other.
So, because musical associations are verbal, even hearing a word can trigger a song in our heads

Whole Mind Success - Efficacy Verified
Posted: Monday, October 13, 2008

The efficacy of Whole Mind Success methods continue to be verified at National Universities using Brain Imaging with fMRIs and EEG - here is a recent report.
Neuroscientists at the University of Wisconsin using the university's new $10 million W.M. Keck Laboratory for Functional Brain Imaging and Behavior used EEG to compare the brain activity of subjects practicing one of the techniques which is also taught in Whole Mind Success seminars. They found that the practitioners showed high amplitude gamma waves - generally associated with attention, conscious perception, and learning.
Experienced practitioners also had increased gamma wave activity while not actually practicing the technique, indicating that it probably causes permanent changes to brain activity. What is Creativity?

"Creativity, it has been said, consists largely of re-arranging what we know in order to find out what we do not know." - George Kneller
Of course we also think of creativity as discovering, or doing something NEW and UNIQUE
As we have said in our Whole Mind Success seminars:
Creativity is a Mental Process which involves - The Generation of New Ideas or Concepts - New Associations between Existing Ideas and Concepts
and what recent discoveries in Neuroscience tell us is that: Creativity can actually be developed by using various techniques - many of which are taught in our Whole Mind Seminars.Labels: be creative, becoming creative, Creativity, developing creativity, discovery, how to be creative, Innovation, neuroscience, new concepts, new ideas
