The current economic crisis has led many companies to cut back on costs and reign in their more innovative employees.
Even Google has tempered the enthusiasm of its leading edge innovators.

President Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, recently said, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste."

We have heard of successful ventures during times of crisis – the University of Phoenix was founded in the mid-70s to cater to the retraining needs of the unemployed.

This is the time for business owners and managers to develop creative ideas for new opportunities.

Is Creativity Innovation ?

Posted: Monday, February 16, 2009
At : 6:55 PM

Creativity is the act of producing new ideas, or finding new combinations of existing ideas.
In a Corporate setting, creativity would involve the generation of novel ideas or novel uses for a combination of existing ideas.

Innovation involves generating and applying such creative ideas to a specific need.
So, in a Corporation, Innovation is the process in which new ideas are created and transformed into useful commercial products and services.

The World's Creative Brains in One Location

Posted: Monday, March 17, 2008
At : 3:54 PM

My fortnight in Singapore was both an intellectual and a culinary feast.

The first week was a heavily scheduled Creativity Seminar at the 20th annual conference of the American Creativity Association (ACA).

We heard from world renowned authorities on neuroscience, creativity, and on the other major corporate buzzword today, innovation.

The conference was in a lovely 5-star hotel on the waterfront, where I presented a paper on Whole Mind Success - which was well received.
Several professors and some Creativity instructors were keen to work with us, as our methods complemented theirs by working from the INSIDE.

The second week was busy with Whole Mind Success workshops at local firms - including an insurance company.

We have all heard about the external ways to help creativity blossom in a corporate setting.

Many of us are familiar with the various ways an organization can create the appropriate environment to allow its creative people to actually be creative.

Whether it is coming up with new ideas and designs, or making the latest widget, those people in your organization who are already regarded as creative will be able to manifest their creativity in a nurturing environment.

What Whole Mind Success does is rather different – we are training corporate employees how to access the source of creativity – we are going into their Minds.

Our seminars teach individuals how to use their Whole Mind to awaken and enhance their creativity and their innovative powers. Whole Mind methods are practical, proven techniques using research from neurology and psychology which have been shown to enhance an individual’s creativity.

Yes, Whole Mind Success does Increase Creativity & Innovation

Posted: Monday, February 11, 2008
At : 10:26 AM

"Yes, Whole Mind Success (WMS) does Increase Creativity & Innovation" - was the conclusion reached by many of the participants at our first 2008 Seminar - held in early January.

In only 4 weeks, participants have seen positive results from WMS methods - in both their business and personal lives.

Medical research also confirms the efficacy of Whole Mind Success techniques:-

Neuroscientists at the University of Wisconsin using the university's new $10 million W.M. Keck Laboratory for Functional Brain Imaging and Behavior used EEG to compare the brain activity of subjects practicing one of the techniques also taught in Whole Mind Success seminars.

They found that the practitioners showed high amplitude gamma waves - generally associated with attention, conscious perception, and learning.

Experienced practitioners also had increased gamma wave activity while not actually practicing the technique, indicating that it probably causes permanent changes to brain activity.

"What we found is that the longtime practitioners showed brain activation on a scale we have never seen before," said Richard Davidson, a neuroscientist. "Their mental practice is having an effect on the brain in the same way golf or tennis practice will enhance performance." It demonstrates, he said, that the brain is capable of being trained and physically modified in ways few people can imagine.

Whole Mind Success - proven to permanently increase you Creativity and Innovative skills.

Posted: Thursday, February 7, 2008
At : 1:52 PM

January is usually a slow month - what with the holidays and companies planning for the year.

Surprisingly, we at Whole Mind Success have had our busiest January to date.

Three full-day seminars and two half days were received with great enthusiasm by our clients.

This month we head off to the annual conference of the American Creativity Association - a week long gathering of the world's foremost authorities on Creativity and Innovation.

Our founder, Bala Kanayson, has been invited to present a paper on Whole Mind Success and its intrinsic role in Creativity and Productivity. During his time there, Bala will also conduct several seminars for local corporations.
