Delay Dementia Today (Pt. 2)

Neuroscience research shows that the connections between our billions
of neurons – the synapses – are damaged in dementia patients.

Billions of neurons transfer information in our brains using electro-chemical signals.

In Dementia, information transfer at the synapses deteriorates,
the number of synapses declines and eventually our brain cells die.

This is also clearly seen in autopsies as a significant reduction in brain size.

Whole Mind Success has workshops to help stave off the onset of Dementia - using methods shown to work by neuroscientists.

Dementia is not a single disease, but is a term describing a collection of symptoms often caused by disorders of the brain.

Persons with dementia have sufficiently impaired intellectual functioning to interfere with their daily activities and relationships.

They sufferer memory loss, have difficulty solving problems and maintaining emotional control.

Often, they also experience changes in personality and have behavioral problems such as agitation, delusions and even hallucinations.

Whole Mind Success methods have been shown to delay dementia.

What causes dementia?

Dementia is due to changes in the brain that can be caused by various factors such as Stroke, Head Injuries and Tumors.

Other factors include an underactive Thyroid gland, fluid buildup in the brain and Vitamin B12 deficiency.

The latter factors, fortunately, can be readily treated, as can the dementia-like symptoms caused by depression or the wrong combination of medicines.

CEOs and Innovation

Those of us who have worked in large Corporations are rather skeptical of CEOs who claim to support Creativity and Innovation.

We have experienced time and again the lip service paid to *facilitating a creative environment*

Why is this the case?

Is it because most CEOs are under pressure to produce short-term results?
Or are CEOs too far away from the trenches?
Are some of them too old to have learned about Innovation during their MBA days?
Are CEOs simply risk-averse?

What do you think?
